Where do I start with wedding stationery?
Timing is crucial to help make the wedding planning process easier for you. With wedding planning and wedding stationery, work backwards.
Think about when your wedding date is and work backwards to work out when your invitations should be sent. Liasing with your venue to know when they need final numbers is also crucial so you know when you need RSVP’s from your guests.
Why do I need to start designing the invitations so far in advance?
From designing to printing, there are a lot of stages in between. I will send you drafts to approve and make sure you are absolutely happy with everything so the more time, the better.
When do I send out Save the Dates?
Save the dates should be sent out ideally no less than 6 months before the big day. If you are planning a destination wedding, ideally give at least 8-10 months notice so your guests can plan ahead.
I would start designing your Save the dates 1-2 months prior to you sending them out.
How do I transport my stationery abroad if I am having a destination wedding?
For smaller items of stationery, depending on what you choose, I can see if I can deliver your items to the country of your choosing as long as there is a safe address to deliver to. Alternatively, can take these items yourself which would be more ideal.
For larger items of stationery, unless you can transport this yourself maybe think of something completely out of the box like fabric signage so it is easier to transport.
How do I pick a theme/colour scheme?
It is important to consider your venue before settling on a theme. Think about the colour – are there warm tones or lighter tones in the venue. What is the style of the venue? A castle, a barn or a hotel – this can influence which direction you go in with your colour scheme. Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors? This is something I can help you with by using your pinterest page and creating a mood board.
